About SFCA

Our Vision

As artists and artisans, we understand that exposure to and participation in the arts can spark a lifetime of creative discovery, revealing our most authentic voices through music, theater, dance, visual arts, and skilled crafts.

The Springfield Center for the Arts will serve as an interactive space to welcome and foster all forms of creative expression—from the performing arts to the hands-on work of skilled craftspersons.

As a partner organization, the nonprofit Concerted Works will advance its mission to uplift musicians and their communities by bringing live music to the concert hall, enhancing community access to diverse artistic experiences and fostering creative growth.

Artists, performers, creators, and organizations from near and far will be welcomed to utilize the building as a vibrant hub for exhibitions, performances, collaborative projects, and instructional programs. By bringing people together to share ideas and inspiration, we will create a unifying community that strengthens connections and ensures the arts are accessible to all in our region.

Our commitment is to provide creative and educational opportunities for all ages and abilities, often at no or minimal cost, to ensure broad community engagement. We also envision future residency programs for performing artists and artisans to deepen connections and enrich our community.

Our Mission

We believe the arts are for everyone. Our mission is to create an inclusive and accessible space that presents a diverse array of enriching and inspiring creative opportunities. Through the arts, we strive to uplift, unite, and give voice to our community and beyond, fostering connections that strengthen and celebrate our shared humanity.
